Hello, I’m Gabrielle.

I’m a qualified humanistic integrative counsellor, which means I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches and tailor the work to suit you. Because everyone’s experiences and needs are different, I take a flexible and collaborative approach to find what feels most supportive for you.

My training includes Person-Centred, Gestalt, and Transactional Analysis (TA) therapies. Depending on your needs, I may also integrate elements of mindfulness, gentle breathwork, grounding techniques, psychoeducation, or CBT to support our work together.

I offer a calm, supportive space where you can talk things through at your own pace, without pressure or judgment. My approach is grounded in empathy and respect, with a focus on understanding how life events have affected you from your perspective, in your own words and experience.

I have experience working with adults, teenagers, and young people, as well as those navigating substance use or recovery. My practice is inclusive and affirming, and I welcome clients from all backgrounds, identities, and walks of life.

If you’re curious about working together, feel free to get in touch. I’d be happy to answer any questions.

My Approach

My approach as a humanistic and integrative counsellor means I see you as the expert in your own life and tailor the way we work to suit your individual needs. I draw on a range of therapeutic ideas, always grounded in empathy, respect, and a genuine, non-judgmental relationship. Together, we create a space where you can explore what matters to you, at your own pace.

What Does The Jargon Actually Mean?

Therapy shouldn't feel like learning a new language. Here's what some of the terms mean in plain English.

Integrative

An integrative approach means I draw on different therapeutic models and techniques, adapting them to suit your unique needs and what feels most helpful for you.

Humanistic

Humanistic therapy is based on the idea that you have the capacity for growth and change, and focuses on helping you explore your experiences with empathy and respect.

Person Centred

Person-Centred therapy focuses on building a supportive relationship, helping you develop self-trust and a clearer understanding of your own thoughts and feelings.

Gestalt

Gestalt focuses on your present-moment experience, helping you become more aware of your thoughts, feelings, and body, and how they’re connected.

Transactional Analysis (TA)

TA helps us look at patterns in your relationships and ways of thinking that may have developed early on, so you can make clearer choices now.

CBT

CBT explores the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and offers practical strategies to help you manage challenges and make meaningful changes.

You don’t need to know any of this before starting — we’ll explore what’s most useful together.
